On May 26, the management board of industrial zones in Soc Trang province inaugurated an investment project to upgrade the wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 4,000 m3 / day to 10,000 m3 / day at An Nghiep Industrial Park Adoration).

The total investment capital of the plant is VND 102 billion.
According to Mr. Lam Hung Kien, Director of Soc Trang Industrial Zone Management Board, the wastewater treatment plant was invested 36 billion VND with the capacity of 4,000 m3 / day and night, but operated with no more than 3,200m3.
Meanwhile, the amount of waste water collected from 24 enterprises in the industrial zone up to 5,700m3, causing the treatment system to be overloaded leading to frequent pollution.
In early 2016, Eighty Environmental Engineering Joint Stock Company was selected as a partner to help Soc Trang improve the water environment in An Nghiep Industrial Park.
